Laptop Configuration Session
In order to prepare students laptops in advance of classes, the Business School's Information Technology Group (ITG) offers incoming students a pre-configuration website which allows students to prepare their laptops prior to the on campus configuration session. Students can sign up for a pre-term Laptop Configuration Session through their to-do list on the admitted student website.ITG has developed a “Drop-off Laptop Configuration” program to make this process less time consuming for students. Prior to Orientation, students will access the ITG Student Configuration site through a link in the to-do list on the admitted student site. From the ITG Student Configuration site, students will use the form to complete Mandatory, Suggested, and Optional items on your laptop. You will also be able to sign up for a configuration session. Please review the information carefully to determine if anything that will be done during this process will conflict with the current configuration of your computer. If you feel an item may conflict, you may opt out of configuration. The mandatory pre-configuration steps MUST be completed prior to dropping off your laptop for your scheduled configuration session. Students may also choose to complete the suggested tasks listed BEFORE you arrive for Orientation. If these steps are not done, ITG will complete them for you during your session. Please arrive as early as possible to your scheduled configuration session to drop off your laptop. Your laptop will be set up with all the software you will need during your time as an MBA student based on the form you filled out on the ITG Student Configuration site. You will pick up your laptop at the end of the day at the time designated on your orientation schedule. Laptops MUST be picked up at this time! Plan to spend approximately one hour with ITG to review the work performed and discuss IT at the Business School. Listed below are the software packages and other items that will be installed during the configuration process.
